Peter Roy has been the owner and Practice Manager of South Shore Animal Hospital since the spring of 2012 when he and his lovely wife, Dr. Jennifer Roy, built the hospital to support the surrounding area with a state of the art animal hospital. He graduated from Marais des Cygnes Valley High School in 1989 and then furthered his education through Baker University where he obtained his BBA in business. Peter has applied his knowledge of business to help benefit the hospital in every way he can. He is also continuously learning about veterinary medicine and quality patient care as they keep growing and expanding their operations at the hospital.
Peter has five amazing children ranging from the ages of eight years old to twenty-two years old. As you can imagine, between the hospital and his children, he has a very busy schedule. His love for pets and all animals blends into his personal life as they have five dogs, eight cats, a rabbit, a few guineas, and many chickens! This love for animals has created a passion for their hospital and has him striving to bring the best veterinary staff together in order to provide the highest level of veterinary medicine. Peter is always looking for ways to expand the level of service and increase our ability to serve our client’s and patients’ needs.

This is our sweet Sienna! She is actually the daughter of Peter Roy (our office manager) and Dr. Jennifer Roy. She started by helping out around the hospital by being a wonderful babysitter for her youngest brother, Landon so Dr. Roy and Peter would be able to give our clients their full attention. She then started working as a kennel technician in 2017 while she was in high school and has continued to care for the animals as she has attended Neosho Community College. She will be graduating May of 2020 with an Associates Degree in Science.
